Software Engineer (J2ME/Blackberry)

Essential Skills

Software Architect / Team Lead (J2EE)

Job Description :
- The candidate should have experience between 5 to 8 years in predominantly J2EE Technologies preferably with a product development background.
- Should have played the role of a technical architect and should have independently architected a minimum of 2 complex/large scale projects/products using J2EE Technologies.
- Responsible for developing the architectural approach and overseeing design / implementation of large scale rich media distribution platform and content management solutions.
- Must be thorough with the product development life cycle.
Qualifications : BE / B Tech and Above
Desired Profile :
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience working with J2EE products.
- Participate in project scope definition and requirements definition
- Determine product technology and architecture.
- Set development guidelines and manage code reviews/walkthroughs.
- Write/review requirements and design documents.
- Should be able to guide junior developers on best practices in developing applications using java /j2ee technologies.
Skills :
- Should be familiar with standard web-application frameworks and technologies including but not limited to :-
> Hibernate
> SQL
> REST, XML/XSL, JSON, AJAX
> Deployment Technologies : ANT
> Linux/ Unix

Content Acquisition Executive

Role Description
The Content Acquisition Executive will be responsible for acquiring the best content for the platform, to deliver programme strategy and business objectives. You will manage the complete process from identifying the right content through to negotiation and finalisation of a high volume of creative deals, on budget. This person will report to the Director of Content Acquisition
Responsibilities
- Acquire Free on Demand, ad supported rights for the platform, to meet set objectives.
- Contribute to the development and execution of content acquisition planning, in line with editorial, technical and financial requirements.
- Identify, meet, build relationships with, and negotiate with content owners to achieve business objectives.
- Liaise with the marketing group to establish essential interaction between marketing and content. Maximise the impact of content by facilitating relationships between the marketing and promotions teams at the content owners and us.
- Present and sell the service to content owners, industry groups, and the press at relevant events and during other opportunities.
- Be aware of and take part in marketing activities, including trade shows, events and acquisitions trips as necessary, in India and overseas.
- Renegotiate selected existing deals to reflect new positioning and requirements.
Essential Skills
- Thorough knowledge of rights licensing, preferably with one or two years experience in programming, acquisitions or sales.
- Creative, confident, pragmatic and effective in negotiations.
- Enthusiastic interest and understanding of the media sector, including traditional broadcasting and the internet.
- High level of presentation and communication skills both in person, by phone/email, during meetings and events.
- Ability to work independently and to take initiative and responsibility.
- Ability to exercise budget responsibility and work to targets.
- Ability to initiate and complete projects demonstrating a good level of understanding and comfort with rights, legal, financial and technical issues.
- A basic understanding of the technology behind the service.
Ideal Skills
- Proficiency in languages other than English an advantage. Proficiency in local language will be an asset.

The Online Marketing Manager will be responsible for the management of all viral marketing for Umundo and the online marketing team. He /She will be an experienced Marketing Manager who is seeking a challenging role within a dynamic company.
Responsibilities
- Plans and develops viral marketing strategies in conjunction with overall marketing strategy.
- Implements specific marketing campaigns and drive online results.
- Lead pre-campaign planning meetings and post-campaign after-action-reviews, and setting list and test priorities.
- Work with cross-functional marketing team
- Position the website into the search engines
- Gather and manage available information regarding the company�s competitors
- Responsible for all seeding and viral campaigns
Essential Skills
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record and be able to satisfy the majority of the following:
- Bachelor Degree, ideally in Marketing or Advertising
- Proven track record in the following, Viral Marketing, Seeding, Infiltration, Video, Product Sampling, Buzz Agencies or Network Leverage.
- Background in the Internet, publishing and television sectors
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly creative and motivated
- Organisational ability to manage and meet deadlines
- Self starter with a track record of exceeding challenging goals
